If you got my 2018 planner at the beginning of the year, then you have the cool feature of reviewing your goals at quarterly intervals! Follow along as I review my mid year stats. It's never too late to get organized. My planner is over 60% discounted in my store at only $2 for the rest of the year!! I always set goals at the beginning of the year, and I set reasonable goals, based on the content I put out and what I enjoy doing. Pictured below is my goals page so you can see what my aim for 2018 was. I was off to a slow start on YouTube after they announced they were taking away monetization for creators with less than 1000 subscribers. After thinking for a while, I decided it wouldn't stop me and I focused a lot of my efforts into growing YouTube. I'm pleased to say that nearing the end of June, I have over 600 subscribers! My second goal was to develop a professional studio, but I've actually taken a liking to using my cosplay photo wall as a backdrop for videos! I get to show off my favorite inspiration, with a splash of color in the background. For photo shoots, I've adapted to the situation and mostly use a blank wall in my crafting room. I've invested in a tripod and a few backdrop screens, but I've yet to put them to use. A lighting studio would be ideal, it's just so expensive for me right now. *Cough* Subtly drops Amazon Wishlist link.... My third goal was to keep up with the blog. And she's hangin' on! By a thread, but she is. I need to reach out to more creators to interview for the blog. I get a lot of people wanting to, but then never replying the email! So if you're interested, hit me up! Besides #FeatureFriday, I've managed to work in a few random blog posts or reviews and while it's not up to the quantity I had expected at the beginning of the year, I'm not disappointed. I've put a lot of my time into other outlets, so it's not too bad! Related, I wanted to work with more brands this year for video content, blog reviews, and Instagram posts. While I work with a smaller budget, it makes sense to work with brands my audience would be interested in while I'm between cosplays! If you're interested in learning how to work with brands and getting sponsored, read this article!! My last goal I wrote was to work on creating an ebook or course I can digitally sell. I would like to focus more on tutorials and providing information that people want. While I haven't worked on this yet, I have ideas in my brain. Always so many ideas. I just need to take the time and put something together. If you have suggestions or requests, feel free to drop them in the comments! My traffic and income goals was based on my average growth, patreon income, and a little bit of pixie dust. Patreon fluctuates a lot each month, so while it hasn't been steady, it's definitely jumped around the $100 mark each month! My gross income goal was set at $2000, and I had a huge influx in sales when I released my digital sets on Storenvy. It gave me a huge boost and I'm currently sitting at just over $800 PROFIT. That's net. I was too lazy to calculate gross. But based on my expenses, I'm on track to shoot way above that goal - which is crazy exciting to me. I've never planned for cosplay to be a full time job or income. It will always be a side project that I love to build and grow, but seeing income and numbers is hugely inspiring. If you'd like to add to my profits, check out my Storenvy sets, or help me fund a future cosplay on ko-fi! <3 As far as my follower count, I thought I had made decent goals, but facebook has only grown 60 followers since January, and twitter has only grown 30, while Instagram has grown 3000 since January! My efforts have been paying off for YouTube as well as it's grown 400 subscribers since January. I know I don't put the effort into Facebook and Twitter, so I'm not surprised by the lack of growth. Instagram and YouTube has been my priority this year and I'm happy to see results! 20,000 followers is still questionable for Instagram, but who knows! I won't have my doubts yet! As you can see by my personal review, I'm pretty dang happy with my goals and progress this year. Now it's your turn! Take some time to review your goals, or pick up my planner and start making some goals!!!
