I'm so excited to share another amazing cosplayer this month! Get ready for a great read by clicking below! Woohoo!
Hey there, Teebz Rage here, I'm a nonbinary cosplayer and gamer. My pronouns are they/ them ✌
How and when did you get into cosplay?
One of my best friends at the time asked me on a date to a con I saw people were dressed up and I wanted to do the same thing! I saw it as a great way to break out of my shell, I am extremely shy and have a really hard time making connections with others.
How did you come up with your cosplay name?
I've broken out of my anime/manga shell and became a very casual gamer; video games, pc, and ttrpgs are my every day so I wanted to own up to who I am in the gaming world. Trash = I'm not out here trying the make GM or Diamond (I'm playing for fun), Blush = previously mentioned that I'm shy and have a hard time connecting with people, Rage = "I would like to rage" or I constantly feel rage in my day to day and of I care a lot about a game, well... lol.
What do you do when you're not in cosplay or geeking out?
I feel like my entire life focuses on cosplay or geeky things. I help run social media for Ladies and Gentledice, I'm currently learning how to be a Game Master and am planning either a mini series or one-shot for Thirsty Sword Lesbians on our Twitch/ YouTube. Other than that I am a full time dog parent to my big old goofy bbs.
What is your proudest cosplay accomplishment?
Id have to say my Iron Bull cosplay; I learned how to do leather work and pretty much made everything; Horns, eyepatch, leather armor pieces and belt, axe, pants (sewed on each of those individual stripes), leg armor. It was a fun project!
Who is your cosplay idol/inspiration?
I don't really have one. I always feel so awkward answering this question, I go through phases where I am obsessed with someone's cosplay but at the end of the day we're all people with different skill sets, access to different materials, and everyone has different privileges with their finances.
What is your dream cosplay? Why haven't you made it yet?
I have two; EDI from Mass Effect 3 & Ryoko Hakubi (Space Pirate) from Tenchi Muyo. I am not confident in my skill with latex and having it commissioned would be thousands of dollars.
How do you think having an OnlyFans has affected the cosplay community? Has it changed your cosplay experience?
I think it depends on your audience but I also think that society automatically places a stigma on anyone who has an OnlyFans. I have some really excellent people who enjoy my work and I feel like I'm pretty lucky to worm out the not so great peeps pretty quickly.
Do you have any cosplay or convention pet peeves?
Give me space and air. I can't stand when conventions oversell their avenues. I have been to some great cons that I'll never go back to because the capacity is way too small for how many attendees they have. I have a huge bone to pick with those cons who were adult friendly turned family friendly. We need more adult spaces.
Do you have any horror stories or mistakes you've made that others can learn from?
Cosplaywise: there's access to so much info now that so many cosplayers will probably already know this. I used to bind my chest with duct tape which caused nasty blisters and scars, haha please don't do this! Way back cosplayed as Sanosuke Sagara from Rurouni Kenshin and bound my ribs and chest with Ace bandages not only was I in severe pain all day, the bandages popped off exposing me in front of several cameras while I was having pics taken with another cosplayer in the front of a convention center. I was a teenager and super embarrassed.
Do you have any tips or words of encouragement for other cosplayers?
Always remember why you started cosplaying and if there's something you don't like you can always go back fix and upgrade later. Don't compare yourself to others, you're your own person who is gonna learn and grow and your entire life experience is gonna be different than someone else's.
What social platforms can we find you on?
