I'm pretty excited to feature another local cosplayer this week. I've had the pleasure of hanging out with C-Town Spidey twice and he's such a sweetheart. I can't wait to see him again at future cons. Read his awesome interview below! How and when did you get into cosplay? I started cosplay in the fall of 2014 and it all started of what I wanted to be for Halloween that year, so I put it to a vote. And Spider-Man got the most votes, so I decided why not try to find the most accurate Spidey suit as possible. Looked up The RPC Studio (Costume Company) a few months later and I received my first legit Spider-Man costume. If you're still cosplaying in 10+ years, do you think it will have an effect on your cosplay choices, or the characters you choose to portray? Yes, who know what will happen 10 years from now. I may or may not be cosplaying at that time. However, if I were I'm not sure I would be able to pull off all the cool things looking back. What do you do when you're not in cosplay or geeking out? Working and spending time with my friends and family. How do you choose your next cosplay? For me cosplay is based on a budget. Which ever I can afford is what I can go for and the rest can be saved for another time. Who is your cosplay idol/inspiration? Spideyfit is my cosplay inspiration. What cosplay(s) are you working on right now? Right now, I'm working on a few projects: Luke Skywalker and Black Panther. What is your dream cosplay? My dream cosplay is to be Raphael from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. What is your favorite convention to attend? So far, the Calgary Expo has been my favorite con to attend.. but that soon might change. What is your dream convention to attend? New York Comic Con is my dream con to attend, which will become my reality this fall. Do you have any cosplay or convention pet peeves? I have quite a few cosplay pet peeves. Not so much for convention just yet. My biggest pet peeve with cosplay are critics believing an individual can't cosplay a certain character which is false. Anyone can cosplay anything they want regardless of size, ethnicity, gender, etc. Do you have any tips or words of encouragement for other cosplayers? Be sure it's something you want to do. Because at the end of the day cosplay is all about having fun and not caring what your haters think. Where can we find you on all things social? Instagram: @c.town.spidey I love that guy! Make sure you go follow him on facebook and instagram!
THWIP! (*kiss kiss*)
