My personal thoughts and review on my new Glamorous Corset corset. It's a Jolie in black cotton! Keep reading to the end for a special bonus for YOU! The lovely Jamie from Glamourous Corset had reached out to me via my blog looking for an influencer to promote her brand. All too excited, I accepted and we got down to business. That being said, while the following corset was sent to me for free in exchange for a review, all opinions and thoughts expressed in this post are 100% my own. This blog may also contain affiliate links, which if you click, I may relieve a small commission from your purchase. My choice of corset from their HUGE range of products was the Jolie in black cotton. It's a long line, underbust corset with steel boning. It also features a high back to prevent that extra bulge, and a five inch wide modesty panel. Jamie helped me pick the best size for my body type, which is a 26". The corset is priced $84 USD. After the corset was in the mail, I was issued a tracking code and it arrived 8 days later. I was thrilled I wasn't charged any extra custom fees either with my item. I inquired with Jamie to find out shipping prices and times for you guys, and she let me know that if you're in the US, you get FREE 2 Day shipping on all orders! If you're in Canada, it's about 5-7 days shipping time and the cost varies based on the weight of the garment. When it arrived, it was securely packaged with bubble wrap and the packaging inside was gorgeous. It came in a nice velvet black bag with gold lettering. Inside was my corset, an info booklet, and 2 free gifts, pictured below. What a fun surprise. I'm a sucker for great packaging, and this brand did an exceptional job. As per proper treatment, it's important to season your brand new corset for a few days, wearing it increasingly longer each day. This allows it to get accustomed to your body and shape to your curves and it allows your body to get comfortable wearing a corset for long periods of time. Pictured below is my 1st, 3rd and 6th times wearing it and you can tell how it gets significantly tighter with each wear. After trying the cotton corset vs other materials, I really like it. It allows for many different uses and it has a very casual feel to it. I can wear it under or over my outfit for maximum benefit. Overall it's a great corset, and it was a lovely compliment to my Ariel cosplay. So here's the down-low on the company and my overall rating: Overall Thoughts ★★★★★ (5/5) Website ★★★★★ (5/5) The home page is very clear and easy to navigate with quick selections by Category, Color, or Material and just below that it has some featured corsets. When you click a category, they're neatly organized into sub categories, as well as list of options down the left side of the screen. Each product has clear product images, descriptions, sizing charts, and customer reviews. Shipping ★★★★★ (5/5) It was well wrapped in bubble wrap to prevent any damage. It shipped extremely fast for an international order, with great benefits to customers within the United States. Plus, I wasn't charged any extra customs fees over the border! Quality ★★★★☆ (4/5) Cotton is a very forgiving material, and it formed well to my body. There seems to be some mild puckering around some of the boning panels, but it's hardly noticeable, and it could be due to my body shape, and how the corset formed to my body. Cost ★★★★★ (5/5) The Jolie corset comes in at $84. With proper care, this corset will last a long time. The craftsmanship is very strong with 24 steel bones and a steel busk. For a quality corset, this is the best deal you'll find, hands down. I highly recommend Glamorous Corset to anyone. They have a wide variety of styles and colors available, with great sale prices and amazing quality. I'll definitely be getting more from them.

The corset will always be something I admire. I like looking at girls wearing it. I don't think I will ever fit in one in this lifetime though. It would be like breaking my ribs. I am a big boned girl and I think this will be too much for me to bear. I remember trying to wear a waist strap after giving birth and I only ended up disappointed because I couldn't last thirty minutes wearing one. I heard it can help me lose weight so I guess I am hopeless if I can't wear one.

The most important thing with corsets is getting a proper size. Wear it for longer increments each day to get used to it, and proper season it. With the right care, it should never be painful or even uncomfortable at all, no matter your body shape!
