Things I Did
I've been busy with blog and cosplay as usual, but most recently I built the shield for my Pocahontas Shield Maiden cosplay, which will be part of a mashup group for the Edmonton Expo in September. The shield was built early as a guideline for the others in the group so we could all have matching shields!
Recently I also went out to Wetaskiwin to visit Shelley and we spent a full day doing a photo shoot, and the following day crafting things! It was so much fun teaching each other new things and getting some shots of each other's cosplay.
Things I'm Doing
I am currently working hard to finish my Yin cosplay for Animethon which is coming up August 5 - 7. The cosplay will be entirely made from scratch - including the wig! As with every cosplay I make, this will be an experience to learn new things and teach myself new skills!
I am also busy packing up my life and I will be driving nine hours to meet my boyfriend at our new home in Kamloops! I'm pretty excited to share this news with you all. I am looking forward to meeting new cosplay friends, and experiencing new conventions.
Things I'm Gonna Do
After I get settled in to Kamloops, I will be right back to the grindstone working on cosplays for Edmonton Expo. My not so secret Pocahontas Shield Maiden will be revealed with the full group, and my last cosplay for the year is going to be a mashup I'm so excited for - SAILOR MOON KNIGHT!!!
Moon Knight was received so well, and I've wanted to do this mashup for so long. I'm so excited for it, and I hope you like it as much as I like the idea!
Edmonton Expo is my last current expo planned for the year, and I will be coming back to my hometown for the expo and some visiting time at the end of September.
After con season dies down, I'm going to *try* and take a mini break from working on new cosplays. I might revamp a few old costumes, but I will mostly be working on commissions and saving money.
So that wraps up my current life, and I'm so sorry I'm boring right now, but soon I will have fresh content and it will be awesome. Come back on Friday for a special, local cosplayer interview!
