The harsh Canadian winters demand every citizen to own a onesie - or an adorable kigurumi! Today I'm reviewing an adorable one from kigurumi.ca - keep reading for all the details! NOTE: While I received this product free in exchange for a review, all thoughts and opinions expressed in this post are 100% honest and my own. Why am I reviewing a fleece kigurumi in the middle of July? Well you see friends, I live in the basement of a house on a hill where every window on my floor does not get sun. So while the upstairs gets beat with the sun all day and starts to cook by about three in the afternoon, my basement stays nice and cool. Now every day when the upstairs starts to cook, the upstairs tenants turn on the A/C in an attempt to survive and not sweat to death. Understandable. But by about 6pm I find myself in the same situation. *See photo* This is not an over exaggeration. I put on the thick socks and wrap myself in blankets and sometimes a hoody. I often send snaps to people where you can display the outside temperature and it's a selfie of me bundled up in the basement with an outdoor temperature of 27 degrees or more. Now you understand why I'm reviewing this kigurumi in the middle of July. How does this benefit you? Well if you celebrate Christmas in July like me, it makes an adorable Christmas present even if it doesn't fit the season! There's just something about wearing kigurumi's around the Christmas tree... If you feel you're more normal than that, it's the perfect time to prepare for the back to school parties, or even a super early real Christmas present. Or birthdays. Or because you live in a freezing cold basement and spending your whole night outside is impractical - or unsafe if your city is covered in a cloud of smoke. And of course the most obvious reason: comfy cosplay! There's nothing better then walking around in an oversized character kigurumi on the last day of con after you wore armor for three days straight! The wonderful kigurumi.ca sent me this Stitch kigurumi and I was thrilled! I always like to pay attention to the correspondence with the company as well. It's a great way to foresee what customer service might be like if you had questions or concerns. The team was very prompt and thorough during our conversation. There was no loose ends and I felt very confident with the discussion. They provided me a tracking number when they sent the package and I didn't even get a chance to check it before it arrived exceptionally fast - within a few business days. When I did get it, I noticed immediately the glitter stuck to the packing tape keeping the box closed. I was concerned so I moved the unboxing to the floor. My suspicions were right and the box was FULL of loose glitter! Now, I LOVED it. I love glitter. But I know a lot of people loathe glitter, whether it's stuck to a card, or loose in a package. If you do order from them, I'm not sure if you could nicely ask them to skip the glitter! After I evaded the glitter, I noticed a sticker with their website printed on a very nice vinyl type material, and, AND - a hand written note which was signed by the team. It was so sweet and I loved the personal touch. It wasn't just a product in a box, vaguely labeled; it was a friend sending a gift to another friend. The kigurumi was also packaged in its own plastic reusable bag with a hanger for easy storage. I pulled it out and it had the cute band wrapped around it - which is now on my wall - and the official Disney license tags. As I was pulling it out of the bag and unfolding it, I noticed how super soft the fleece was. I just wanted to rub my face on it. I also took note that the ears and nose were stuffed to keep them perky, and the hood was lined with a sweatshirt material rather than fleece, which was great. Fleece tends to stick to hair and next thing you know you have frizz all day. OKAY LET ME PUT THIS ADORABLE PILE OF SOFTNESS ON ALREADY!! If those photos don't speak for themselves, let me go into some details about how much I love it. The buttons are nice and big for quick and easy bundling. The hood is spacious and sits nicely on the head. The elastic on the legs and arms are nice and thick which makes it sit comfortably on my legs and wrists, or if I roll the sleeves up to my elbows. And look at that little tail!!!! I actually didn't like the tail so much. It's adorable while standing, but while sitting it fits right between my bum cheeks in the most awkward way xD - but this is the one size fits all style which will vary for the height of every person. There's a lot of extra room so it just takes a quick pull up on the waist before sitting down and you're comfy! That's literally the only complaint I have about this comfy one piece pajama cosplay of wonder. Now let's quickly go over some other details about the company and products!
Overall Thoughts ★★★★★ (5/5) Website ★★★★★ (5/5) The website is very clean and easy to navigate. There's no broken links and tons of products to explore - including backpacks and giant heads. I know, you never knew you needed one until right now. You're welcome. Shipping ★★★★★ (5/5) It shipped in a sturdy box within a few days to Kamloops, BC - which usually has a delay with shipping. So that's miracle time there. Quality ★★★★★ (5/5) The fleece is very nice and has a stretch to it which makes the outfit feel limitless. The seams are properly finished and it's well structured. The ears and nose are stuffed just right to allow the hood to sit comfortably and the ears to perk up just right. Cost ★★★★★ (5/5) This Stitch kigurumi comes in at $79CAD which is a total bargain for the long lasting and fun quality of this onesie. Shipping is free over $99 or is it a flat $5 for your order! I'm definitely recommending kigurumi.ca for anyone interested in a little fun in their life. Anyone up for a kigurumi party?!
